What is an SMS Gateway?
An SMS Gateway allows businesses to send and receive text messages to and from mobile devices through a web platform or API. It acts as a bridge between the internet and mobile networks, enabling efficient communication.
Can I send SMS messages internationally?
Currently, our SMS Gateway supports sending messages only within Sri Lanka. However, we are actively working on adding international support to our gateway.
What is a Sender ID?
A Sender ID is the name or number (max 11 chars) that appears as the sender on the recipient's phone. It helps identify your business and enhances your brand's recognition. Sender IDs are customizable.
How is SMS length calculated?
English (GSM-7): 1 SMS = 160 characters.
Unicode (Sinhala/Tamil): The character count differs because many Unicode characters count as multiple bytes. Unicode messages may reach the character limit faster than English messages.
Can I get a more discounted price?
Yes! We offer special discounted packages for high-volume users (see pricing table above). These discounts are based on your monthly SMS usage with a commitment-based agreement.
What documents are required to apply?
You'll need to submit business registration documents, Owner's NIC copy, along with an NOC Letter. If you still don't have a BR, please contact our team.
